The 2 - 4 year old classes are very special and
a child's first experience of a dancing class. Children are taught
basic co-ordination skills whilst learning to interpret and
understand different styles of music. Ballet in the Cecchetti method
is taught to pupils of 4 years and upwards.
Once a year selected pupils are entered for their Cecchetti Ballet
Examinations and are adjudicated by examiners from the Imperial
Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). Children are encouraged to
work hard, aiming for good examination results whilst at the same
time having fun in discovering the world of dance. Great emphasis is
placed on poise, grace, musicality, co-ordination and performance.
